BWSC, as a joint-venture partner with KZF, provided project management and architectural design services for the design of a fitness center for military personnel in the Columbus area. The 40,000-SF facility includes a gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, three racquetball courts, fully equipped weight and aerobics exercise rooms, lockers with showers and saunas, mezzanine running track, and administrative office areas. The facility was designed to meet Gold Level rating requirements based on SPiRiT evaluations.

Locally available materials with a high recycle content were selected, which also were chosen to avoid introduction of toxic or harmful substances into the workplace. Construction materials left over from a previous construction project were re-used where possible, thus conserving materials and allowing for the continuation of an architectural theme. Parking for the site could be shared with an adjacent facility, which allowed for minimal environmental disturbance of the area.
