Since the 1990s, BWSC has been a team member with Metro and Consoer Townsend Envirodyne, Inc. in performing wet weather flow monitoring and investigations to identify inflow and infiltration intrusion in the gravity sewer system, prescribe rehabilitation efforts, prepare bid packages, perform construction administration and provide on-site field representation services. BWSC’s work to date has resulted in field investigation of over 250 miles of gravity sewerage and rehabilitation of nearly 32 miles of impaired sewerage. Other significant tasks have included the upgrade of two sewer pump stations, including new pumps, controls, instrumentation, and emergency power; water quality investigations using a watershed approach, including sampling, dye and smoke tests, CCTV, bacterial tracking and analysis, and aerial thermography.
