Joint Ordnance Engineering and Logistics Facility

Joint Ordnance Engineering and Logistics Facility
Crane, Indiana

In order to consolidate Army and Navy personnel scattered among 19 buildings into a single facility, BWSC designed (as part of a design/build team) a new Joint Ordnance Engineering and Logistics Facility at the Naval Support Activity in Crane, Indiana. The 66,865-SF building, which was intended to save millions of dollars in operational costs, co-locates Navy and Army personnel into one facility with separate entrances, administration areas, conference rooms, and computer support. Some building functions will be shared, such as restrooms and break rooms. The facility met the latest anti-terrorism/force protection requirements.
