Taking waterfront land in need of revitalization, BWSC’s master planners helped Decatur’s leaders create a postcard-perfect riverwalk. Revitalized properties at the river’s edge were linked with the nearby government center, public parks and historic districts. The project involved observation areas, ADA-accessible pedestrian walkways, points of visual interest, plantings, and shaded sitting areas with benches and tables.
