Caswell Park
Knoxville, Tennessee
Renovation of this longstanding and popular park required almost contradictory approaches: paying attention to its historic elements while modernizing athletic and play facilities. The end result included a tournament-level softball complex, a high school/senior league baseball field, senior citizen activities area, playgrounds, walking trails, and a picnic shelter. The scorer’s tower in the center of the complex emulates the Victorian architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.
