With decades of experience providing services on the Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR), BWSC has become a trusted consultant to the Department of Energy (DOE) and its facility managing contractors. Our work has included many indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ), multi-year contracts, resulting in hundreds of task orders for a wide range of sites and facilities in every corner of the reservation. In the 1990s, BWSC served for many years as the land use and infrastructure planners for the entire ORR, the old K-25 Site, and Y-12. As a part of the Department of Energy Footprint Reduction process (also in the 1990’s) BWSC evaluated the entire Oak Ridge Reservation to identify land that was suitable for industrial and business park development. The history of work continues today through a contract on a Joint Venture team to provide planning, programming, and design services for facility and infrastructure projects for UT-Battelle.
