BWSC’s presence on the Oak Ridge campus has included multiple technical services contracts with more than 200 tasks assigned in all areas of engineering design and surveying. These tasks include a siting study for the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) second target station; master plans for the SNS and the Central, West, and 7000 area campuses; a design/build package for a new parking structure; preparation of the 7600 Building High Bay design criteria; provision of Title I, II, and III design and construction phase services for the Advanced Materials Characterization Laboratory; storm drainage and flood studies; assessment of road conditions; and site utility tasks such as evaluation of the ORNL sewage treatment plant.
