Airport Runway Extension and Lighting

The City of Madisonville, Kentucky, is benefiting from a $5.9 million upgrade to its airport. The improvements, which included a runway and taxiway extension and new lighting, allow the airport to accommodate heavy cargo planes. In addition to providing design and construction administration, BWSC assisted the city in securing federal funding for the project. Earlier work by BWSC for the Madisonville Airport includes ALP updates, runway justification study and environmental assessment.
