Bob Polk has over 30 years of experience in all types of municipal engineering projects including water distribution and treatment, wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater improvements, roadways, solid waste management, parks and recreation, industrial parks, as well as airport improvements and expansions. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee, and is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Bob started BWSC’s Memphis office in 1984, managed the Wainwright acquisition which added the Dothan and Montgomery offices to the location roster in 1989, and started the Birmingham office in 1999. He served as BWSC’s Alabama Division Manager from 1997 to 2001, and was subsequently named Southern Region Manager in 2002. In his hometown of Savannah, Tennessee, he served as City Manager and led the effort to consolidate the city’s and county’s economic development program by re-establishing the Savannah Industrial Development Corporation.
