Currently serving as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer, David L. Davidson, PE, has been an officer in some capacity for more than twenty years. He started with BWSC in 1978 as a structural engineer responsible for bridge and facility structural design. Through the 1980s, he oversaw the opening of branch offices and supervised the operation of branches in Huntsville, Ala., Memphis, and other locations. In 1988, he became the manager of the Nashville architectural and industrial division during a period of rapid growth and development of major clients such as Bridgestone/Firestone, Nissan, NASA and Boeing. In 2002, he was selected for President and Chief Operating Officer. He has an M.S. in structural engineering and a B.S. in civil engineering from Tennessee Tech. He is a licensed engineer in three states. Outside activities that he has been involved in include serving in several capacities with the Nashville Post of the Society of American Military Engineers, being on the Board of Engineer Advisors for Tennessee Tech, holding several offices with the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers, the Consulting Engineers of Tennessee, and the American Consulting Engineers Council, of which he was twice National Director. In 1989 he was chosen as Young Engineer of the Year for the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers.
