Nashville, TN —Emily Fronheiser, PE, Civil Engineer for Barge, Waggoner, Sumner, and Cannon, Inc. is leading the charge to organize a section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area.
Along with several other SWE members-at-large, Fronheiser is coordinating with the national organization to launch a section of the not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering. Founded in 1950, SWE is the driving force for showcasing engineering as a desirable career for women and offers training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, and outreach and advocacy programs.
