Tom Dues Becomes Certified Project Management Professional

Dayton, OH – Thomas L. Dues, AIA, PMP, LEED AP BD+C, IIDA, Architectural Group Manager in the Dayton office of BWSC, has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) after successfully completing the PMP program and examination. PMI is an international professional association involved in advancing the practice, science and profession of project management throughout the world.

Tom has over 34 years of experience in project management, as well as the design and management of architectural and interior design for a wide range of projects, including federal and military, health care facilities, civic, educational, institutional, and commercial. He has been associated with BWSC since 2004 and has extensive experience in facility design and project management in relation to fast-tracked phasing, existing conditions documentation, in adequacy of existing mechanical systems, historical impact, current codes, ADA, environmental assessment and abatement, LEED principles, demolition problem resolution, aesthetics, functionality, maintainability, sustainability, first cost/life cycle costs, scope compliance and adherence, and scheduling.

Tom obtained his Master and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Detroit in 1973. He is a Registered Architect in Ohio, Florida, Connecticut, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. Tom is a National Council of Architectural Registration Board certificate holder, an International Interior Design Association certificate holder, and a LEED Accredited Professional BD+C. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, he currently lives in Waynesville, Ohio.
