“Robert Brown is highly respected in the engineering community nationwide for his abilities and for his leadership of the Department of Energy’s operations in Oak Ridge,” said Robert Higgins, Chief Executive Officer of BWSC. “We are very pleased that he is now a colleague at Barge, Waggoner, Sumner, and Cannon.”

Prior to serving as deputy manager of DOE’s Oak Ridge Operations office, Brown was Chief Operations Officer for ORO, a multi-program complex that includes the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, Y-12, and the East Tennessee Technical Park. During his tenure, he also served as assistant manager for Assets Utilization, executive director for the Oak Ridge Construction and Engineering Division; director of the Project Management Division, and Deputy Assistant Manager of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for ORO.
