Nashville, TN —Gayla Graves, payroll professional in the Barge, Waggoner, Sumner, and Cannon, Inc. (BWSC) Accounting Department, was selected to be presented with the Jack L. Wood Excellence in Service Award for 2011 at the Annual Stockholders’ Meeting on April 16. The Jack L. Wood Excellence in Service Award is given to a BWSC employee in recognition of demonstrated continuous dedication and loyalty while providing superior services. Graves was selected as a result of her unwavering commitment and consistent excellence in service to her fellow employees and to clients.
Named in honor of Jack L. Wood, BWSC Chief Executive Officer from 1989 to 2002, the Excellence in Service Award is given on an as-merited basis, and selection is made by the Board of Directors. All employees are eligible, and recommendations may be made at any time.
Graves is a native of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and now lives in Nashville with her husband and two daughters, ages 11 and 16. Graves started working for BWSC in 1990 and has transitioned through several roles to her current role as Payroll Coordinator which she has held for the past 14 years. |
