Nashville, TN – Employees of the Nashville office volunteered their talents to design and paint a panel that will hang on the construction fence of the new Music City Center. BWSC joined other organizations at the Fence Painting Party hosted by the Arts & Business Council (ABC) of Greater Nashville to create panels for 150 feet of the construction fence on the 5th Avenue/Country Music Hall of Fame side of the construction site. The event was focused on driving collaboration between arts and business to create economic prosperity and creative vitality for Nashville.

BWSC employees who volunteered for the project include Scott Schulz (architect), Daley Smith (architect), Marris Jones (transportation), David Locke (landscape architect), Gretchen Paxton (IT), and David Humes (marketing). Buddy Petty (civil) led the group with Patti Hughes (marketing) providing event coordination for the team.

Participating organizations could choose from five theme categories:  Public Health & Safety, Workforce Development, Environment, Diversity & Inclusion, and the Joy & Impact of Art.

The BWSC team selected the Joy & Impact of Art, and Environment as their themes for the design and hatched the plan for the panel together. The result was a fabulous depiction of an acoustic guitar and the skyline of Nashville floating on a sea of prosperity. The panel will be transferred to metal and hung on the fence of this major project for the duration of the construction period
