Nashville, TN - Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon, Inc. announces two additional engineers on staff have attained the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential, bringing the total number of PMPs on the company’s roster to ten. Chris Triplett, PE, PMP in BWSC’s Memphis office and David Willingham, PE, PMP in the Birmingham office were recently awarded the credential.
Both Triplett and Willingham are Project Managers and Civil Engineers and have contributed to multiple engineering projects across a wide range of project types. Triplett, a graduate of the University of Memphis, has over 17 years of experience, and has been with BWSC since 2008. Willingham is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has been with the firm since 1999.
“We now stand just shy of 40% of our fully dedicated project management community having their PMP,” states Bob Higgins, CEO. “That’s a fantastic place to be in our industry.”
The Project Management Professional credential, awarded by the Project Management Institute, is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates experience, education and competency to successfully lead and direct projects. Minimum requirements to apply to the program include a four-year degree and at least three years of project management experience coupled with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects, plus 35 hours of project management education. |
