Chris Triplett Named Barge Waggoner Memphis Office Manager

Memphis, TN — Engineering and architecture firm Barge, Waggoner, Sumner, and Cannon, Inc. has announced Chris Triplett, PE, PMP as the new manager of the Barge Waggoner Memphis office. Triplett assumes the management position following the announcement by current office manager Charlie Goforth that he will retire in April 2012. Goforth will serve in an advisory capacity for the next several months during the transition in leadership.  Triplett brings over 20 years of engineering experience and is currently managing key projects, including the multi-year Heritage Landing HOPE VI residential project in Memphis.

He has experience in commercial, industrial, and residential site development, hydraulics/hydrology, erosion control, and site remediation with a focus on soil remediation and solid waste management.

Triplett was honored in the fall of 2011 with The Dan B. Barge, Jr. Award, the highest honor awarded by the Tennessee Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He has served ASCE in various roles, including President of the West Tennessee Branch, ASCE District 9 Representative, Tennessee Section Vice President, and President of the Section. He is a member of the Bartlett Design Review Committee and participates in Memphis and area Chamber of Commerce activities.

A 1999 graduate of the University of Memphis with a BS degree in Civil Engineering, Triplett is a credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP). He also has an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the State Technical Institute at Memphis. Triplett is a registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.
