Spring 2017 Community Fund Recipients Announced

Nashville, Tenn. – The BWSC Community Fund has announced its spring 2017 Community Fund recipients, a release of $27,500 into area non-profits. Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Inc., has given out more than $111,000 since 2014.

The recipient list includes Thompson Center Cancer Survival Center (Knoxville); H3 Ministries, Inc. (Chattanooga); Youth Encouragement Services (Nashville); Society of Women Engineers, Memphis Professional Section; Rebuilding Together Nashville; Alabama Kidney Foundation (Huntsville); The Dayton Regional STEM School (Kettering, Ohio); Middle Georgia State University Foundation (Macon); Walk Bike Nashville; University of Georgia Foundation - Benson Family Graduate Student Support Fund (Athens); East Tennessee Kidney Foundation (Knoxville); Margaret Maddox YMCA (Nashville).

About the BWSC Community Fund

The Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Inc. Community Fund was established by the employee body to assist in carrying out the company’s inherent spirit of giving back to the communities where they live and work. The Community Fund impacts organizations that are close to the hearts of employees, clients and business partners, and advance the interests of society in the areas of health and wellness, education, and workforce development.

Employees can contribute through a one-time contribution or through payroll deduction. The Community Fund is administered by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, an organization that offers personalized charitable solutions which keep costs low and effective.
