The Mall at Green Hills is an upscale, urban shopping destination. Property owners have chosen Barge Waggoner for architecture and engineering design and construction management on several expansion and renovation projects since the 1980s. Barge Waggoner has worked with the owners to improve the shopping experience for the Green Hills Mall customer. Projects include anchor store expansions, parking structure additions, traffic studies, and new construction.
The latest project is the addition to the mall of a three-story structure to house the first Nordstrom in the Nashville area. The addition includes related parking expansion, site work, and traffic studies. Barge Waggoner designed the new structure and provided civil site engineering. We also assisted in the permit and zoning processes, and managed the construction administration process. The urban location is constrained on all sides with utilities underground on site. Constraints are tight and the mall had to remain open during construction.
With many stakeholders and service providers involved in each project, Barge Waggoner has steadfastly championed the interests of our client. We have worked with the Board of Zoning and Appeals, utility companies, multiple contractors, and business owners to maintain progress, meet deadlines, and deliver quality work.
