Awards and Recognition

Service Awards
Each year, those individuals who have completed 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service are presented with service pins at the annual BWSC meeting.  Employees with 30, 35, and 40 years of service are presented with crystal service awards.

Daniel B. Barge, Jr. Award of Merit
The Daniel B. Barge, Jr. Award of Merit may be given for outstanding service to the company. The Award of Merit is to recognize an individual employee of BWSC for distinctive performance in a situation in which he or she has demonstrated extraordinary initiative or capability, beyond the normal requirements of the position, in furthering the interests of the firm.  This award is given on an as-merited basis, and selection of individuals to receive it is made by the Board of Directors. All employees are eligible, and recommendations may be made at any time to any member of the Board of Directors by a Regional Manager, Operating Unit Manager, Office Manager, or other supervisor. This award is presented at the annual stockholders meeting.

Jack L. Wood Excellence in Service Award
The Jack L. Wood Excellence in Service Award may be given to an employee for consistent superior service to the company. The award is to recognize an individual employee of BWSC who has demonstrated continuous dedication and loyalty while providing superior service to the company. An employee who is so recognized receives, in addition to a suitable certificate, an immediate cash award in a minimum amount of $100.  This award is given on an as merited basis, and selection of individuals to receive it is made by the Board of Directors. All employees are eligible, and recommendations may be made at any time to any member of the Board of Directors, a Regional Manager, Operating Unit Manager, Office Manager, or other supervisor.
